The TROBOT Thermocycler from Biometra is specially designed for flexible integration in robotic systems and high-throughput platforms. The motorized heated lid, the motorized plate lifter, for easy removal of plates by a robotic arm, and the very small footprint are necessities that help you to automate your thermocycling experiments easily and effectively.
In a fully automated liquid handling station DNA amplification is the bottleneck, as it requires more time to perform than other tasks in the workflow. Biometra’s TROBOT is a dedicated thermocycler which addresses the requirements of a high-performance robotic station.
All jobs a thermocycler performs are left to the control of the computer that also controls the robotic station: programming, starting, pausing and stopping a program.
Speed : The maximum heating and cooling rates of the TROBOT are 4°C/sec and 3°C/sec, respectively, making it the fastest cycler which can be integrated into a robotic station.
96-well and 384-well formats : The TROBOT is available with a gold-plated silver block for 96-well plates for highest speed and, for even higher capacity, a block for 384-well plates. As 384-well plates tend to stick to the block after heating, the block is coated with a special nickel alloy for easy plate removal. Plate removal by the robotic arm of the liquid handling station is further faciliated by automatic plate lifting.
