The new Biowave S2100 spectrophotometer from WPA is specifically designed for use in life science applications. The dedicated software is pre-programmed with methods for DNA, RNA and oligonucleotide quantity and purity determination, protein determination by BCA, Bradford, Lowry, Biuret and UV methods, and cell density measurements. These methods can also be adapted to your own assay conditions. The instrument is small and compact taking up little valuable bench space.
The diode array technology ensures instantaneous scanning and, coupled with the open sample compartment, permits a rapid throughput of samples. Results are shown on a large screen. The complete scan can then be output to a dedicated printer or a PC.The bi-directional RS232 port allows sample readings to be controlled by a PC and the results imported to the PC for storage and maniplulation.
